Paradox

Supposing you wake up one morning and go to the dining table for breakfast. Both your parents are already there.
Your mother says, "What your father says is false."
Your father, stuffing his face with sausages says, "What your mother says is true."

What do you do???

Independence Day

What does independence mean to you? It may mean taking a holiday from school or work, or maybe it means making a sandwich without any external help. However, the dictionary meaning for independence is"the fact that you are free from outside control or influence". This is what the people of India felt when they were rid from a British government.
We all know that India is a democracy. However, there was a time when India was bound by restrictions such as wearing shoes and not jootis. This was when they were under British rule.
Not everyone liked the British, but they did not voice out their opinions because they were afraid that they would be dwarfed by the might of the British. But there were some people who did voice them out, and, because of them, an uproar had begun. The freedom struggle had started.
hundreds had given their lives(which not only means dying but also dedicating their lives)to freedom. SOme people fought with violence, others fought politically and with ahimsa(non-violence). In the end they all fought so hard that the British agreed to give them independence. Thus, on 15 August every year, we celebrate Independence Day.
